My day in Hong Konh 2001
On my way to Vietnam I arrived in Hong Kong and went to change planes only to find that my passport had expired and I could not continue. I had to go into Hong Kong, to the Vietnam Consul General and get a new Visa. Here are a few of the photos that I took that day.

A view along Hennessy Road in Wan Chai

I believe that this is Wan Chai Road. The market is beautiful and so full of color.

Another view of the market

On a side street between Wan Chai Road and Hennessy Road I found this small pastry shop.
Just down the hill from the Vietnamese Consul General is this restaurant which has 4 terminals in the window for the use of customers.

I sat across the street from this small stationary store, just off Wan Chai Road, and wrote in my journal.
I sat in this street and wrote and thought how I was on the other side of the world from home in a country where I did not know anyone and could not speak the language and how wonderful it was.

I wonder what he is thinking and where he is going.

I wonder who she is waiting for.

Everyone passed by and smilled and said hello. This little girl stopped and smilled. Her friend is so attentive.
